DIGITAL PRINT OPERATOR

Primary purpose of this position:

Operating a large, digital printer to produce custom material that ultimately is used in our direct mail packages.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

The operator is responsible for using a computer to interface with a digital printer, loading/unloading paper into the machine, ensuring quality of print is to customer and NAC’s standard, producing required quantities, and tracking production, and performs other related duties as required.

Education, skills and abilities include but are not limited to:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of computers
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and detail oriented
  • Elevated sense of urgency, good communicator and a team player
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, twist, bend, push, pull up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends

BINDERY OPERATOR

Primary purpose of this position:

Responsible to operate machinery in the Bindery Department to cut, fold and process mail components while meeting both quality and production standards.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

The Bindery Operator is responsible for operating Bindery machinery, will consistently check materials to ensure quality specifications are being met, will produce work according to customer standards and meet NAC’s quality and production standards.  Will package/box folded material to avoid damage, tag and identify materials and ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete.

 Education, skills and abilities include but are not limited to:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, twist, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Elevated sense of urgency, good communicator and a team player
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and a background check

MATERIAL HANDLER

Primary purpose of this position: 

This position is responsible to stock all machines with material and supplies needed to complete the job and to remove finished work by using a hand pallet jack.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

Will stock all machines with multiple skids of mailing material for the final inserting process, will check to ensure that the correct components are being delivered to work areas, transports finished product to other areas by using a hand pallet jack, return all unused material to the warehouse for storage.  Will also perform general duties such as breaking down cardboard boxes, general sweeping and housekeeping of the work area.

Education, Skills and Abilities include but are not limited to:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, twist, bend, kneel,  lift up to 40 pounds, and ability to push and pull 100+ pounds
  • Elevated sense of urgency, good communicator and a team player
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
  • Basic working knowledge of computers for ordering/returning material
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and a background check

LETTERSHOP OPERATOR

Primary purpose of this position:

Responsible to operate machines in the Lettershop Department including inserting mail into envelopes while meeting both quality and production standards.

Essential functions of the position include but are not limited to:

The Lettershop Operator is responsible for operating various Lettershop machinery, will consistently check production materials to ensure quality specifications are being met, will produce work according to customer standards and meet NAC’s quality and production standards.  Will tray/bag finished mail, tag and identify materials and ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, twist, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds

LETTERSHOP SORTER

Primary purpose of this position:

Responsible to sort finished mail into trays to be sent to various post offices.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

The Lettershop mail sorter will properly sort mail according to postal requirements, while meeting production and quality standards including inspecting the quality of letters, envelopes and barcodes, will tray and tag completed mail and pull samples as required.

PRODUCTION MECHANIC

Primary purpose of this position:

Responsible to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and set-up on all production based mailing machinery to ensure they are running to standard.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

The production mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production mailing machines, performs set-up on machines for job change over, performs preventative maintenance on machinery, assists in training new machine operators and mechanics, operates machinery and runs production when needed, and performs other related duties as required.

Education, skills, and abilities include but are not limited to:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience/training, preferably on manufacturing machinery or vocational school training.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to use tools commonly associated with this position
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, twist, bend, kneel and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Elevated sense of urgency, good communicator and a team player
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends

DATA PROCESSING QUALITY CONTROL SPECIALIST 

Primary purpose of this position:

Responsible for the inspection and proofing of electronic or hard-copy personalized records generated during the Data Processing and Programming.  The inspection process validates accuracy of data/copy/variable information against client instructions, supplied copy, input/output data, adherence to USPS mailing standards, and other applicable specifications for each component or mailing.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Inspect product against job instructions and quality standards
  • Ability to meet daily minimum daily productivity rates while maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to follow priorities and adjust work flow to meet changing demands
  • Ability to utilize electronic tools and programs related to management of work flow
  • Identify, report and document quality discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records

Education, Skills and Abilities include but are not limited to:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years experience/training in Quality Control and plant experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment
  • Maintain a high level of record keeping/routine paperwork
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under high pressure and meet production standards

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Primary purpose of this position:

To provide continuous quality control to assigned production areas by inspecting product at established frequencies against approved samples.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Inspect product against quality standards
  • Complete Discrepancy Reports for all quality and accuracy discrepancies found during inspection upon finding the errors
  • Ensure Discrepancy Reports are complete and accurate and submitted to Management
  • Inspect quality of product on job set-ups and prepare production packages for Machine Operators

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years experience/training in Quality Control and plant experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment
  • Maintain a high level of record keeping/routine paperwork

CONVERTING ADJUSTER

Primary purpose of this position: Responsible for the set up and maintenance of converter machines to produce envelopes that meet quality standards and production standards.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Set up Converter machines
  • Maintain and adjust Converter machines
  • Maintain proper supplies for Converting machines
  • Provide back-up to Converting Operators
  • Spot check material for quality
  • Cut dies

Knowledge, skills and abilities include but are not limited to:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months to one year related mechanical experience/training
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Maintain a high level of record keeping/routine paperwork
  • Exhibit a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under high pressure and meet production standards
  • Ability to work overtime which includes weekend

YARD JOCKEY/WAREHOUSE MATERIAL HANDLER

Primary purpose of this position:  Involves a variety of responsibilities/tasks including, moving trailers through the yard and moving materials through the warehouse facility. The incumbent may perform general warehouse duties including; shipping/receiving, picking and packing orders, and other warehouse related job tasks as assigned while meeting company standards of safety, security and productivity.

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Safe and efficient movement of trailers in and out of dock doors
  • Daily inspection of truck
  • Backing trailers into designated areas as requested
  • Performing and documenting daily pre-trip inspections of the truck
  • Monitor truck condition and communicate when repairs are required
  • Perform minor repairs (change lights, fuses, etc.)
  • Move materials as needed throughout the warehouse

Education, skills and abilities include but are not limited to:

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be available to work days, weekends, and overtime as required by business needs
  • Ability to successfully complete all basic and annual training
  • Forklift experience is a must
  • Ability to drive a straight truck
  • Organizational skills with varying degrees of independence, judgment and discretion
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, lifting and walking for extended periods of time
  • Service orientated with strong customer service skills and commitment to quality of work
  • Strong team player, but also able to work effectively independently
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills – able to follow instructions
  • Follow all operational and safety requirements
